About.com’s Guide to Mobile Office Technology.

I spend at least an hour every day working in my home office. I crank out two columns, manage my website business, and pay bills. I have taken advantage of tax breaks to furnish my home office with some pretty nice stuff courtesy of my business so that I have a nice work area where I can get some serious work done.
I generate some pretty decent income in that little room. That’s why if you do work from home, I strongly encourage you into looking at making your own home office.
Today’s FamilyFirst site will help you to do just that. It’s About.com’s Guide to Mobile Office Technology.

There are a lot of factors to think about when considering making a part of your home an office. For instance, do you have youngsters running around the house? You have to make certain that your home office won’t be a dangerous spot for them. Will your wiring handle things like a laser printer or a computer workstation complete with monitors, modems, a router, and the like? Where can you store important papers so they can survive a disaster?
The site also steps you through the tax laws and how to deduct much, or even all of the expenses you incur.
By the way, a home office was once a flag for the IRS to investigate your return more closely. My tax accountant assures me that that is no longer the case! So don’t be afraid to start deducting things like office supplies, portions of your utilities, and things like that!
So check out today’s FamilyFirst site, and see if a home office might be a good idea for you.
